The North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club does not discriminate in club participation, opportunities or practices on the basis of race, color, religious creed, sex, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, pregnancy, veteran’s status, military service, age, marital status, genetic information, handicap or on any other basis protected by federal, state, or local law or ordinance. The policy governs all aspects of club activities, including club officer selection, membership, observation sessions, meetings, outreach programs, use of equipment and materials, discipline and access to club facilities.
The North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club is committed to activities and a club environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Each individual has the right to participate in a respectful atmosphere that promotes equal membership opportunities and prohibits discriminatory practices, including harassment. Therefore, the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club expects that all relationships among members, officers and the public will be free of bias, prejudice and harassment. This policy extends to any facility or location where a club sponsored event is taking place or where club officers are representing the club in a public venue.
