A star party for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, organized by school science teacher John Hodsdon took place on Thursday night, April 4th, 2013. About 60 students and parents attended a presentation by Brewster LaMacchia that engaged the audience in a discussion about craters and what it might tell us about Jupiter’s moons Io and Europa. While some clouds limited observation of fuzzy things, everyone got good views of Jupiter and two of its moons. (This was the third reschedule attempt.) Club members Eric Reines, John Gall, and Barry Yomtov assisted with scopes.
