After our monthly meeting a few of had an impromptu observing session at Veasey. Present were Ron, Fred, Dennis, Rick, Kevin and yours truly. The scope was GoldenEye, the premier outreach instrument of NSAAC. Conditions were a bit hazy but we saw M27, 57,31,32,110,45 as well as double stars like eta and iota Cass(a triple), Alberio, epsilon Llyrae split at 110x, and the coathanger asterism. Luna and Jupiter were close to the horizen in the soup. A nice view of the Owl cluster and the double cluster were enjoyed.
The 11mm Nagler at 110x with a three quarter degree true field gave great views.
