Merrimack Observatory 7/11/2012

Opened observatory at 8:30 pm with ten people in attendance. Gave a talk about star

formations and reasons for star color. This was used to stall for darker skies

At 9:00pm we turned our scope on Saturn with a few more people in attendance.

At this time it wasn’t dark enough to see any of the moons of Saturn.

Took a look at Mars with a few more in attendance (about 25).

Then on to m13  the globular cluster and m26 open cluster.

When back to Saturn as new people arrived and saw two moons ,

as it was now darker.

Went to my all time favorate Alberio the colored doubble star best of night.

Finished the night with m81 m82 (not a great view )
